4 Things You Can Do Today to Strengthen Your Social Media Presence

Undoubtedly, social media has become a huge part of our social life and an effective
way of sharing memories, educational content, and increasing sales for businesses.
Why is it important to increase your social networking presence? An excellent social
media presence has many advantages if used wisely.
As a business, you can use this to build your brand, have genuine relationships with
your audience, build trust with your customers, and earn more money. However,
building a strong social media presence requires consistency.
Are you finding it difficult to increase your following? Do you feel you are not getting
the exposure you deserve? Are you not making as many sales as you planned?
Follow these tips to grow your social media presence right away:

1.Have goals.

Set goals for your page, whether you are a creator or a brand.
These goals will help determine what to do to reach them. Ask yourself: What
do I want to achieve on social media? Where do I want to see myself or my
brand in a few months or years?
The idea of having social media goals as a creator or brand is to help keep
you on your toes and focused. Set realistic, relevant, and attainable goals
and work towards them.
Whether it’s batch-creating content every weekend, posting 2 to 3 times a
day, or reaching out to your audience each week, stick to it. As they say,
little drops of water make a mighty ocean. Step by step, you will achieve
what you want.

2. Find the target audience.

After setting your goals, outline your target audience.
Everyone isn’t your audience because not everyone will like your content or
need your service.
So, you must find the right audience for your content or the customers for
your service or product. This way, you can market your product or service
to the right buyers, and in the end, you build stronger relationships with
your audience.
Your target will help determine your brand voice, profile information, and
your type of content. Put in the effort to find your audience, understand
their challenges, and offer them the solution. It helps you know your
purpose, and content creation becomes much easier.

3. Show the face behind the brand.

One of the biggest mistakes on social media as
a brand creator is hiding. Brands that are faceless and have zero personality
receive less attention because they appear uninteresting.
People love to see transparency in brands and creators. They want to get
to know the person beyond the logo, and they want someone they can
relate to.
Many brands have developed a cordial and friendly relationship with their
audience, and this has gone a long way toward growing their social media
presence.
Customers don’t like brands that come off like robots. They prefer to see
the human behind the brand.

4.Build genuine relationships.

Building genuine relationships with your audience
is the beauty of social media. Most businesses with such relationships thrive.
Engage with your audience, comment on their posts, share their content,
and respond to comments. This way, your efforts will be reciprocated and
ultimately put you at the forefront of growing your social media presence.
Put more effort into building valuable relationships, and the rest will
follow. It’s better to have a solid relationship with 1,000 supporters than with 10,000 followers who are not interested in or supportive of your content.

It’s possible to greatly enhance your social media presence with a bit of work and
consistency. Have set goals and stick to them. Stay disciplined and focused and be
true to yourself. Soon, you’ll notice how much your business has grown!

You’re a beginner in affiliate marketing

As a beginner to affiliate marketing. The first piece of advice I would give is to address the issue of mindset and expectations.

Why I feel this is important, I come across this all the time, is to have the proper expectations of what you are embarking on.

Affiliate marketing is a business. Though the concept of  online marketing is easy to understand, this is where simple comes to a halt. This simplicity carries over, giving the impression, especially to someone looking into affiliate/online marketing that running a profitable online business is easy. On top of that, you throw in the constant promotional pieces of earning 10K with 3 clicks of a mouse you see where people get lost and confused.

This doesn’t mean you can’t do it. Affiliate marketing takes work, and you need to have the willingness to learn new things. So, be prepared to do some work and get comfortable working outside of your comfort zone. If you are willing to do this, then success is a matter of time.

The remaining part of your question is a little more complex.

affiliate marketing basics for beginnersTo start, I would search out a niche or an area/topic that you know something about. Choose a topic in an area where you can add value to people by helping them overcome a struggle in the same topic. As you become an authority in your niche you will be able to recommend products and earn commissions.

How to promote

How you promote your product should be based on what you are comfortable creating. What I am about to say is nothing unique. For example, you’re someone who expresses or can covey your message more effectively visually, then go with YouTube. If you feel you communicate better using a text format, then blog, or create posts on social media. If speaking is your thing, a podcast maybe better suited for you.

The platform you choose.

Once you find an option that works for you, set up the appropriate account, using your brand, and go to work.

From this point forward is where the work begins. Focus on the 4 Core Areas and remember your success hinges on your ability to convert your traffic into paying customers.

The Current State of my Blog

My intent of publishing this post is more of a transitional piece centered around where I was a few years ago, starting out in affiliate marketing, and today. The analogy I like to make is, drawing a line in the sand. There is no real information to draw from this post, nor am I looking for likes and shares. The sole purpose behind this post is that if someone were to visit this site for the first time, they could distinguish for themselves where I am today as an affiliate marketer versus where I started a few years ago. I hope that they would see a stark contrast.

Second, you will notice that there is a gap in time. It is not because I stopped blogging but I was using a different host for my site. When I made the initial transition in 2022, I wasn’t able or I wasn’t aware of any method to transfer those posts, I just moved on. My mindset back then was that my blog was more of an afterthought than the priority it is today.

The transition

When I realized the limitations of the host and a poor decision I made based on not knowing better, it made more sense for me to switch back to the former host, the site you are on now.
After finishing the transfer, all of my former posts were intact, it was like I never left to begin with.
Instead of taking these former posts down, I left them up as a reminder of my journey, as an affiliate marketer, and put this on display to show anyone interested or curious, that you don’t need things to be perfect, any special talents, or state of the art. You just need a willingness to learn. Like yourself, this website is a work in progress.

Where am I going with this?

My intention, is to show anyone interested that you don’t start at the top. Even the Gurus’ started at zero. You will have your share of setbacks along the way, it’s part of doing business. It’s not the defeats or struggles that will stop you. What is important is how you handle these setbacks.
